Resurrection

The hadith says: "There is nothing I hesitate about more than taking the soul of My believing servant; he dislikes death." What does it mean that Allah hesitates? And how can a believer dislike death when it is a truth?

In the name of Allah, what is meant by “hesitation” here is Allah’s consideration of the believer’s desire for worldly life. As for the believer disliking death, in reality, he does not dislike meeting his Lord and dwelling with the righteous among His servants in the eternal gardens. Rather, the believer prefers to remain in this world to increase in worship, or to serve and support the religion and its leaders more and more—and this very desire to remain becomes a form of worship in itself. Allah is the Guide and He is the All-Knowing.
