Aqiqah and the status of Chilla ceremonies
Can you clarify if performing Chilla - 40th day function - is appropriate in Islam, and what practices are included in Aqeeqah?
Aqeeqa is recommended for every Muslim child on the seventh day after birth, and it can e be done any time after that by slaughtering a sheep or goat or cow or camel and distributing its meat to people.
